Franz Bakery

This wonderful bakery is run by a family dated back to 1896, that made deliveries in horse-drawn wagons. Several years later the bakery that was known as The United States Bakery changed its name to Franz Bakery in 1920 and started selling bread. They also invented the first hamburger bun. This bakery has evolved and improved majorly over the years. They set the Guinness Book Of World Records for the longest hot dog bun!

All vaccines have to be refrigerated at certain temperatures to be viable. There isn’t any exception for the COVID vaccine. Vaccines that are not kept at proper temperatures are useless to administer. 

They become unviable, and you are unable to use them. That is why you must keep refrigeration units at the correct temperatures. It is recommended that you check the temperature settings in the units every few days. A record of those temperatures should be kept for informational purposes.

Recommended Temperatures For Vaccine Storage

All vaccines do not have the same storage protocols and regulations. That is why it is important that you are aware of each one. One of the main things about the Covid vaccine is that it has to be at such a cold temperature. 

If they are not kept at correct temperatures, they no longer become viable for use. The cold temperatures are to sustain the ingredient mRNA. You should follow all regulations for the Pfizer vaccine and the Moderna vaccine. Many places had to buy Covid freezers to house it. 

The Pfizer Vaccine

The Pfizer COVID vaccine can be in a refrigerator that stays between 2 to 8 degrees celsius. It can only remain in the refrigerator for 5 days before it needs to be discarded. Once the vaccine is mixed, the use of it should be within 6 hours. 

Always use up the inventory that is in the refrigerator before removing extras from the freezer. The temperature of the freezer needs to be between -60 to -80 degrees celsius. The vaccine is not allowed to return to a refrigerator unit any longer.

The Moderna Vaccine

The Moderna vaccine is frozen when you get it. The temperature is between -15 to -25 degrees celsius and it is packed in dry ice. Therefore, it should remain in the freezer until you plan to use it within a month.

The vaccine can be in the refrigerator for 30 days between 2 to 8 degrees celsius. You cannot place them back into the freezer for any reason. Most importantly, once the 30 days have come, the vaccine is no longer viable.
